Bulecopack with two separate collection campaigns in Lom
Bulecopack took part in the events celebrating the International Day of the Danube River on June 29, which was celebrated with various initiatives.
During the celebration, together with the mayor of Lom - Dr. Georgi Gavrilov, we awarded the winning schools in the "Paper Race" campaign and drew the winners of the campaign for a separate collection among the citizens "For a clean environment".
The aim of the two initiatives, which Bulecopack and the municipality of Lom jointly organized, was to direct the attention of adolescents and citizens to the benefits of the separate collection of packaging waste and to stimulate their responsible attitude. The campaigns enjoyed great interest from both the students and the residents of Lom, who participated with great enthusiasm and thus showed their responsible attitude and desire to reduce packaging waste.
A total of 5 tons of paper packaging waste were handed over by the 8 schools from the municipality of Lom, which took part in the "Paper Race" campaign, with the largest amount collected by the students of "Kliment Ohridski" Elementary School - 1832, 10 kg. The secondary school "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" with 982.80 kg, followed by "Nikola Parvanov" Primary School with 814.60 kg. The winners received vouchers for the improvement of the material base.
We thank the directors and teachers of schools "Dimitar Marinov", "Nayden Gerov", "Nikola Parvanov", "Otets Paisii", PGPT, "Hristo Botev", "St. Kliment Ohridski" and "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" for the perfect organization and for the desire with which their students joined the initiative.
The big winners of the raffle for the citizens' campaign "For a clean environment" were also awarded, with the lottery awarding smartwatches to Kalina Ilieva and Ivayla Samenova and wireless headphones to Albena Chakarova. Several special prizes were also awarded for the youngest and oldest participant who handed over waste and for the participants who handed over the largest amount of plastic and paper packaging waste.
