Bulecopack awarded the schools winners in the "Paper Race" campaign

On June 2, in the regional administration of Iskar region Bulecopack and the mayor of the region - Mr. Ivaylo Tsekov, awarded the winners and participants in the "Paper Race" campaign.

During the campaign, which ended last week, schools in the area managed to collect nearly 4 tonnes of paper packaging waste.

The largest amount of waste from paper packaging was collected by students from 108 SU "Nikola Belovezhdov" - 920 kg. In second place were 150 primary schools "Tsar Simeon the First" with 783.7 kg, followed by 68 Secondary school "Acad. Nikola Obreshkov ”, whose graduates collected 760 kg. The students from 163 Chernorizets Hrabar Primary School handed over 686.3 kg for recycling, 4. Prof. John Atanasov ”- 486.6 kg, and 69 Secondary school“ Dimitar Marinov ”- 263.4 kg. We thank all the principals and professors for their willingness to join the initiative and thus show their responsible attitude and desire to reduce packaging waste.

The first three schools that collected the largest amount received vouchers to improve the material base. All other schools that took part in the campaign received incentive prizes - volleyball and soccer balls, badminton and table tennis kits.

We thank the Iskar District Administration for its assistance in organizing another initiative related to promoting the benefits of separate waste collection. Our joint work continues with other initiatives to engage the attention of young and old to the problem of waste and recycling as a solution to this global problem.
