GREEN ECO INITIATIVES in the MUNICIPALITY OF PARVOMAJ

Bulecopack launched a series of events aimed at training and promoting the importance and benefits of separate collection of packaging waste and environmental protection. Students from the “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” Primary School, Parvomay town and “Hristo Botev” Primary School, Gradina village joined the “Green Eco Initiatives” organized by Bulecopack and Parvomay municipality. The participants’ attention was focused on the benefits of separate collection and their personal contribution to environmental protection and saving the planet.

A special discussion was organized with the students about the harmful impact of humans and human activities on our environment and a series of actions to reduce the harmful impact of humans on the environment were discussed. Among the most interesting ideas stood out: 1. Do not leave the water running while brushing your teeth - you can save 20 liters of water per day. 2. Use energy-saving light bulbs 3. Turn off the computer at night - we will save 40 watt-hours per day. 4. Print on both sides 5. Eat only fruits and vegetables one day a week - it takes thousands of liters of water to process just 0.50 kg of beef. 6. Wash with cold or lukewarm water instead of hot - you save energy 7. Use fewer paper towels 8. Recycle newspapers - this will save more than half a million trees in just one week. 9. Find an alternative to wrapping paper 10. Don't use bottled water 11. Buy locally produced food - this way you will reduce harmful emissions from food transportation. 12. Plant a tree.
